Corrigendum to the notification
Online applications are invited for the courses commencing in January 2022 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Online applications are also invited for grant of PC/ SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For flying branch).

Age Limit:
- Flying Branch. 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 year i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches – 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2022 i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive).
Pay and Allowances:

Examination Fee:
- Online testing will be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centers. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable)as examination fee.
- However, candidates registering for NCC Special entry and Meteorology Entry are not required to pay.Details of conduct of exam, examination centers and mode of payment are available in the notification.
How to Pay Fee for IAF AFCAT 01/2021:
Application Fee may be paid online or by challan through the ‘Make Payment’ step on the main menu of the online application. The examination fee can also be remitted through challan payment at any HDFC or Axis Bank branch.
How to Apply:
If you meet the eligibility criteria, please click on “CANDIDATE LOGIN” in the career website of IAF www.careerairforce.nic.in and follow the instructions. You are advised to note down Registration number for future correspondence. While filling Online application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available, as details are to be filled as per matriculation & other educational certificates. Please save your recent colour passport size photograph (size 10 to 50 KB) in the computer for uploading it with your Online application form.
