CTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has described CTET eligibility criteria 2023 on its official website @ ctet.nic.in. Those candidates who wish to become a teacher for classes I to V can apply for primary stage (Paper 1). Contenders who want to teach classes VI to VIII are advised to apply for the elementary stage (Paper-II). For both stages, candidates are advised to check the complete CTET Eligibility Criteria such as age criteria, qualification, exam pattern etc before filling out the application form. For preparing for CTET 2023 Exam, Eligibility Criteria are an important factor for the candidates.

CTET is abbreviated as Central Teaching Eligibility Test. It is a national level examination organized by CBSE to certify the eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at Primary as well as Upper Primary levels. CTET Entrance Exam is conducted twice a year in July & December. CTET 2023 July Exam Date. CTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

For Class I to V Primary Stage:

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or class twelfth or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. If not, then you should be appearing in final year of 2- year certificate in elementary education.
OR
The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary or category twelfth or its equivalent with 45 % marks in aggregate. or Candidates ought to be appearing in final year of 2- year diploma in elementary education in accordance with the NCTE.
OR
Minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary or class twelfth or its equivalent are required to apply for CTET 2023 or showing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Passed Senior Secondary or category twelfth or it’s equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. Then you must be appearing in the final year of 2- a year certificate in education.
OR
Appliers must be Graduated or passed or show the final year of biennial certificate in instruction.

For Class VI to VIII Elementary Stage:

Graduates can apply or he/she is passed or appearing the final year of a two-year diploma in elementary education.
OR
Must have possessed the Graduation Degree with minimum of 50% marks and should have passed or shown in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Minimum 45% marks in Graduation and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education in correspondence with NCTE.
OR
Appliers should have a minimum of 50% marks in Senior Secondary or category twelfth or its equivalent. or should show in the final year of 4- a year Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Passed in Senior Secondary or class twelfth or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have passed or appeared in the final year of 4- a year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Should possess Graduation Degree with at least 50% marks and must have passed or should be showing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
