IP University Counselling is a single platform that manages and regulates the seat allocation of various courses offered by GGSIPU. This allocation is for the admissions in almost 80+ IPU affiliated institutes for the candidates who will clear IPU CET 2022. These institutes include some of the finest professional Colleges in India like University schools of learning, Dwarka and other highly ranked Engineering, Management, Law colleges in Delhi NCR. As the counselling process for IPU CET 2022 has just begun, students are finding it hard to go through the complete GGSIPU Counselling procedure. It is to be noted that IPU CET 2022 counselling will be held online and qualified students will have to go through the process of online registration, choice filling, document verification and seat allotment to finally get admitted to a college. Throughout this article, every aspect related to IPU Counselling 2022 will be covered.
IPU CET Counselling 2022
The IPU CET 2022 Counselling process will be made in both offline and online mode. In offline mode, a candidate needs to register himself/herself by paying the counselling fee. Here candidates will be invited for counselling according to their rank. Candidate needs to visit the allotted venue on the prescribed date and time with the required documents and fees.
Participating Institutes (Online Counselling)
The Online Counselling for IPU CET 2022 will be made for the following affiliated programs under IP University.
IPU Counselling 2022
The IPU CET 2022 counselling procedure for the above-mentioned courses will be held online. A candidate has to go through various stages of IPU Counselling 2022 like the process of online registration, choice filling, freezing of the allotted seats and reporting to the institute with documents and fee. The counselling procedure for IPU CET 2022 can be explained by the below flow chart.
Step 1: Payment of Application Fee
The first step to IPU CET Counselling 2022 is to register yourself by paying “Participation Fee” (Rs: 1000 only/-). The payment mode for IPU Counselling 2022 is both offline and online.
**Online:
- Select Course from the drop-down list
- Enter IPU CET 2022 roll number, date of birth and registered mobile number
- Enter the visual code shown on the computer screen
- Click on Submit button
- Choose the payment option.
- Take a printout of the online fee confirmation for future reference.
** Offline:
In offline mode, one has to take the printout of the E-Challan of Indian Bank and need to visit the bank to do the Payment
Step 2: IPU CET Counselling 2022 Registration
After successfully paying the counselling fee, the second stage of IPU CET Counselling is the Registration.
**New Registration:
In the next stage, a candidate needs to visit the official website of GGSIPU for new registration. Aspirants are advised to fill the registration form very carefully. The registration process for GGSIPU Counselling 2022 can be done until 20 June 2022.
- Click on the “Registration” tab
- Select Course from the drop-down list
- Enter Name, Date of birth, IPU CET 2022 Roll Number etc and visual code as shown on your computer screen.
- Click on submit button
- After successful registration, a login ID and password will be issued to the fresh candidate which must be kept safe for future use.

**Already Registered:
Those candidates who have already registered themselves need not go for new registration. All you have to do is to enter your details in “Registered Candidates Login”
**Note: Candidates will have to submit one print out of the registration form at the time of document verification while the second copy is to be retained by the candidate and kept safe for all future reference.
Step 3: Verification of Documents (Only for Reserved Candidate)
After successfully registering for IPU Counselling 2022, candidates have to go for their document verification. Only the candidates belonging to Reserved Categories under IPU Admission guidelines have to go through this phase. Candidates from General category need not follow the stage. Check out the list of designated centres for verification of documents (only for Reserved category candidates).
Documents for verification:
- CET 2022 admit card
- IPU CET 2022 result
- Category certificate duly attested
- IPU CET 2022 registration slip
- Class X marks sheet and certificate
- Class XII marks sheet and certificate
- Conduct certificate duly attested by Head of the Institution last studied in.
Step 4: Choice Filling
In case you don’t lock your preferences, the system will automatically lock your last mentioned preferences. So, it will decrease your chances of securing the seat in the most preferred institutes opted by you. Hence, it is very important to lock your preferences within the time window allocated for the choice filling.
Step 5: IPU CET Counselling 2022 Allocation of Seats
- First Log in to the official site with the ID and Password given during the registration.
- Take a print of the Provisional Allotment Letter (if seats have been allotted)
- After seat allotment, the candidates need to pay part Academic Fee of Rs 40,000 to confirm their allotment.
- Successful payment means one has accepted the seats allotted to them.
- Take the printout of the admission receipt for further use.
**NOTE: Payment can be made through E-challan of Indian bank or online banking. Feel free to contact IPU Admission Helpdesk for any other assistance.
Step 6: Freezing of the Allotted Seats
If you accept the seat offered under the first round of seat allocation and is well-satisfied with the seat allocation then you shall not be considered in the next rounds of seat allocation.
Step 7: Withdrawal and Fee Refund
Before the last round of seat allocation, you shall be able to withdraw your seat which is accepted by you during the previous rounds of seat allocation. For this purpose, one can opt for withdrawal option present in the candidate’s login account. Withdrawing from the allotted seats will make an aspirant ineligible for the subsequent rounds of counselling. However, the candidate will be eligible for Spot Round of Counselling.
Step 8: Reporting of candidates to the allotted College
After the freezing of the allotted seat, a candidate needs to report the allotted college with the following documents.
- Admission Slip
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Academic Fee Receipt
- CET 2022 admit card
- IPU CET 2022 result
- Registration slip of IPU CET 2022
- Class X marks sheet and certificate
- Class XII marks sheet and certificate
- Moral Conduct certificate duly attested by Head of the Institution last studied in.
IPU CET 2022 Spot Counselling
If after the sliding phase any seats remain vacant then the authority will conduct spot counselling for the vacant seats. The process will be offline and one has to pay an additional charge of Rs 2000/-.
Filling of vacant seats.
If somehow, any seats remain vacant even after the spot counselling round, then the procedure for filling those vacant seats will be notified by the University after the session begins.
Important Instruction
- The entire counselling process is ONLINE.
- Right from filling up forms to choosing and locking up your preferences, you need to proceed ONLINE.
- However, in the case of reporting, you need to present in person at the allocated institute for verification.
- To participate in counselling, clearing IPU CET is a prerequisite.
- Once you reject the seat allotment, you shall not qualify to participate in the further rounds of counselling.
