NID Entrance Exam 2025 will be held in two parts. First, the prelims examination was held on January and then the Main examination will be conducted from May 15 to 22, for B.Des / GDPD admission, and from March to April for M.Des admission. NID 2025 Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility:

• Nationality:  Indian applicants as well as Foreign Country applicants.
• Appearing:  who have to appear the Qualifying Examinations and Provided to Currently evidence at the during Admission time.
• Age Limit for B.Des/GDPD: should be count 20 years between 2025. Another candidate will get three years of age relaxation & For PwD Candidates get provided for 5 years.
• Age Limit for M.Des: should be 30 years as on 30 June 2025. ST/SC/OBC candidates will get three years of age relaxation while PwD will get 5 years of age relaxation.

For B.Des & GDPD Programme 

• Age limit:  upper age limit is 20 years on or before  June 2025 (3 years relaxation for reserved category).
• Qualifying Examination: who have Passed/Appearing 12th examination from the recognized educational board are eligible to apply.
• Those who appearing the qualifying examination have to submit the proof of passing the test at the time of admission.

For the M.Des Programme 

• Age limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years as on or before 30 June 2025. Relaxation of 3 years shall be given to the reserved category.
• Qualifying Examination: Must passed/appearing a bachelor’s degree in any discipline under the 10+2+4 (or more) system are eligible to apply.
  Or
  Diploma in design under 10+2+4 system.
  Or
• passed the bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) before 2025 under the system 10+2+3 are eligible to apply.

 

NID Application Form 2025

• NID 2025 Application Form has been released
• Candidates can be filled Application Form till 18th  2025 without late fee (Extended).
• Candidates can be filled Application Form till 21st November 2025 with late fee (Extended).
• 9NID 2025 Application Editing has been started on 21st November 2025.
• Candidates applying for NID have to firstly register by entering details like mobile number, email ID, DOB, etc.
• After that, a candidate can log into their accounts using email ID and DOB.
• Fill in all the required details.
• Upload scanned photograph and signature as per instructions.
• Candidates for SC/ST categories have to upload their caste certificate while Persons with Disability (PWD) category candidates are required to upload disability certificate in the prescribed format.
• At last, make the payment and take the printout of your filled-in NID 2025 application form.

NID Exam Pattern 2025

• Parts: DAT Prelims will be conducted in two parts. DAT Mains for M.Des will consist of two parts: studio tests and interviews.
• Exam Mode: It is a pen and paper-based test.
• Type of Questions: The part-1 will include the multiple-choice questions while part-2 is of subjective type.
• Total points: There will be a total of 100 points each for DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
• Exam Duration: The time assigned to answer the DAT prelims question paper is 2 Hrs 5 min hours.
• Language: The question paper language will be English only.
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking.
• The Pattern for DAT Prelims:
• Exam Mode: Exam will be conducted through offline mode.
• Type of Questions: Questions in the paper will be of an objective and subjective type.
• Total Marks: The paper will be of a total of 100 marks.
• The language of the Exam: The entrance exam will be conducted in English
• Duration of Exam: A total time of 4 Hrs 5 min (30 minutes for CDAT and 2 hrs. each for a discipline-specific test) will be given to complete the test.
• Marking: There will be no negative marking in the entrance exam.

Patten for DAT Mains

DAT Mains will be held in two parts:

• Studio Test: The DAT Mains Exam will be held in Various Types in English. Completed the over Exam Marks will be 100 marks & 4 hrs 5 min Duration in the entrance Exam.
• Interviews: After the Test will be Organized Interview for Different disciplines.
• About DAT Prelims
• the B.Des/GDPD DAT Prelims Paper will Consist of an Examination of 3 Hours Duration and 100 marks. The Test will be held on Paper and Pencil/Pen Test, Conducted at the Same Time on the same day across all test centers.
