NID conducts DAT (Design Aptitude Test) for admission to NID and its affiliated campuses.
National Institute of Design offers UG and PG courses in the field of Design. NID DAT is the national-level entrance exam which is the gateway to get admission in various design institutes in India. Candidates will have to appear in DAT Prelims and Mains to get admission in the participating design institutes. The result is declared by the authority through online mode only. There is no other mode available to download the NID scorecard. The scorecard is considered valid for the current academic year only.
Candidates can check their results by logging into their registered account on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep their admit card safe till the selection process.
The qualifying status of the candidate as well as the marks scored is mentioned on the scorecard. The authority will also release separate cut-offs for all categories.
NID Cut Off 2025 will be released through online mode after the declaration of the result. It will be issued separately for each category. The authority will also provide relaxation in cut off for reserved categories.
NID Admission Process 2025 will be started from July 2025 with the publication of NID Result. The counseling will be conducted online mode.
NID Result Dates 2025
The result of DAT Preliminary 2025 for B.Des program has been declared in July 2025. For M.Des programmes, the result is published on 19th June 2025.
Written Exam (Preliminary) has been held on 14th March 2025. The answer key will be released by the authority.
Students can check DAT Mains result for M.Des from July 2025 and for B.Des it will be declared in July 2025.
How to Check Result
Candidates can check the steps to download the NID 2025 result:
- Navigate the official website link. (link is provided above)
- A new login page will be opened on the screen.
- Fill your login details such as email address, date of birth, roll number/Application form number.
- Enter the verification code and click on ‘Submit’ button.
- Your result will be opened in the screen.
- Print the result and keep extra printouts of it.
NID Merit List 2025
Candidates who will appear for all the tests in both phases will only be considered qualified for the merit list. A separate merit list will be published for all subjects under the M.Des programme.
If two candidates will obtain the same marks, they will be allotted the same rank. The merit list will be published category-wise, i.e., General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PH.
The final merit list is based on the aggregate of the weighted marks obtained by the candidate in each stage of the admission process. Merit list for M.Des and B.Des/GDPD will be published in July 2025.
On the basis of NID DAT Prelims Merit List, shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear in NID DAT Mains (Studio Test & Interview).
