UGC NET Notification
UGC NET Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifying Exam |
Applicants must complete their Master’s Degree in UGC in Humanities and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. in any applicable trade from any university or institution recognized by UGC. |
Minimum Marks | Students must have scored 55% marks and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates have scored minimum 50% marks in Master’s Degree. |

Age Limit:
- JRF: Applicant’s age should not be more than 30 years of age and Age Relaxation is given to the reserved categories aspirants
- Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
- Mode of Exam: Online Examination i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT)
Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay the application fees through online mode only by using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking etc
General Category student’s fee | Rs.1000/- |

UGC NET Exam Pattern:
UGC NET is divided into 2 parts and applicants have to clear in both papers to get selected for the JRF or Assistant Professor only.
- There will be no negative marking done in Entrance examination.
- Each accurate answer will award two marks.
- Exam Mode: Online CBT mode.
- Number of Papers: Two papers: Paper I and Paper-II.
- Number of Questions: Total of 150 questions will be there in the exam paper. Fifty questions in Paper I and 100 questions in Paper-II
- Type of Questions: Multiple-choice type questions.
- Language Medium: English and Hindi.
- Time Duration: Paper I: 1-hour while Paper II: 2 hours.
- Total Marks: Paper 1 will be of 100 marks, and Paper-II will be of 200 marks.

Particulars need to be filled in the application form:
- Certificate for Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth
- ID proof- Bank A/c Number/ Ration Card/ Passport Number/ Other Govt ID
- Aadhaar card
- Qualifying Degree Certificate or marks sheet
- Mailing and permanent address with pin code
- Four choice of exam center cities
- NET subject code
- Subject code at Post Graduation level
- Code of Post-Graduation course
- Category certificate
- PwD certificate
- Your own mobile number and email address
- Scanned copy of images in JPG/JPEG – Photograph (10 kb to 200 kb) and Sign(4 kb to 30 kb)
How to Apply for UGC NET 2020 Application Form:
- First of all, visit official website i.e. ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- Now, select “Information Bulletin UGC-NET June 2020” given on left side of home page
- Read the information thoroughly and eligible ones can press on “Fill Application Form UGC-NET June 2020”
- Now, click on “new Registration” button and fill all required details in registration form.
- Pay application through online mode and hit on “Submit” button.
- At the end, download filled in application form and take print out of it for future purpose.
